What is the PrizePicks Welcome Promo?

The PrizePicks Promo Code is a 100% Deposit Match Up To $100

The PrizePicks welcome promo is a 100% deposit match up to $100. Bonus credits from the welcome offer have a 1X playthrough requirement, so any winnings from promo funds are immediately withdrawable; otherwise, the credits have no cash value.

You can qualify for the welcome bonus with a minimum $10 deposit. While you could deposit more than $100 if your budget allows, you won’t receive any additional bonus funds beyond that amount.

Players must be at least 19 years of age to claim the offer, unless they are in Massachusetts or Arizona, in which case they must be 21+.

How To Use the PrizePicks Promo Code

You can use the PrizePicks Promo Code by following these steps:

  1. Access the registration form: Using the link at the top of this page will take you to PrizePicks’ registration form. You will need to enable location services before registration to ease the process.
  2. Enter your credentials and identifying information: On the first page of the registration form, you will need to enter your email address and the bonus code (using our link should automatically input the code for you). As you move through the page, you’ll also need to provide your legal first and last name, date of birth, and home address exactly as they appear on your driver’s license. You will also need to come up with a password to use when accessing your account.
  3. Agree to the terms of service: Before you can activate your account, you will need to check a box agreeing to the terms of service and privacy policy. That box is also a second verification that you are of legal age to participate.
  4. Make a deposit: Finally, you will need to make a deposit using real money so PrizePicks can match your deposit in site credit. The deposit minimum is $10, and PrizePicks will match the value of your deposit dollar-for-dollar up to $100. Make sure that whatever amount you deposit is within your financial means and doesn’t burst your budget. Always play responsibly!

PrizePicks Promos For Existing Players

In addition to the welcome promotion, PrizePicks will frequently offer promos to its existing players, giving them a chance to earn more money on winning plays or to minimize the hit to their bankrolls on a loss. Here are the other ongoing bonuses and promotions on PrizePicks.

Deposit Match Bonuses

The deposit matches available to existing players won’t be quite as lucrative as for newer players, but don’t let that discourage you. The frequency with which bonuses are offered will more than offset the maximum value of the welcome offer at any given time.

Discounted Projections

Discounted projections allow players to add a stat line to their entry that is significantly reduced from the actual projected total to virtually guarantee PrizePicks players get the pick correct. For example, you might see a discounted projection as “Patrick Mahomes over 0.5 passing yards” or “Giannis Antetokounmpo over 0.5 points.”

Because both players would be expected to clear those state thresholds by a large margin, DFS players could add a discounted projection in addition to their other entries to multiply winnings (so if you were planning to play a three-player entry, adding the discounted projection would get you to the four-player multiplier with a considerably reduced line that is easier to hit).

Free Lineups

Free lineups are an entry you can submit without using any funds from your bankroll. This promo type is rather rare and will have some limitations. Winning lineups will pay out in bonus credits rather than cash, but you can continue to use those bonus funds to construct future lineups.

Payout Boosts

From time to time, PrizePicks may offer payout boosts for a certain sport or game type. These boosts will only apply to full-game projections, but when they hit, they will change the multiplier rate for your selection.

Taco Tuesday

On Tuesdays, PrizePicks users will get to vote on a number of projection squares for professional athletes. The top vote getters will receive a discounted projection the following Tuesday when setting your lineups. Players who benefit from the Taco Tuesday votes will have a taco icon next to their projection.

Flex Friday

Flex Friday promotions allow players to use a “Flex Play” where they can still receive a payout for pick’em entries even if they did not get all picks correct. The multiplier for getting all picks correct will be lessened, but the likelihood of correctly predicting enough player lines for a payout is increased.

Overview of PrizePicks

PrizePicks initially launched in the DFS space in 2014 as an app called “SidePrize.” SidePrize saw some early successes but needed to pivot after states began challenging whether daily fantasy sports participation was a form of sports betting.

In 2017, the app re-launched in Atlanta, GA as “PrizePicks.” Since then, PrizePicks has been a huge hit among both beginners and seasoned DFS players for its engaging gameplay, frequent promotions, and line availability.

As of 2023, PrizePicks has claimed to have paid out more than $500 million in winnings to its players.

Today, PrizePicks is available in 33 states and Washington D.C. On its website, PrizePicks claims to be available to 70% of the population in the United States and Canada. The wide-reaching availability led PrizePicks to be declared the largest skill-based daily fantasy sports operator in the U.S. in 2023.

The company is dominating the DFS Pick’em space by userbase, even as many apps like PrizePicks have launched in the market.

PrizePicks Game Modes

Pick’Em Contests

PrizePicks’ Pick’em Contests are the easiest way to play on the site. Users must create an entry with predictions on 2-6 player props and whether those players will score higher or lower than their projected total. The more players added to the entry, the higher the multiplier will be for getting all picks correct.

Within Pick’em Contests, players can also choose to add “Demons” and “Goblins” to their entry to adjust the multiplier mount. “Demons” are marked with a red demon icon and have a higher projection limit (with a higher multiplier if you correctly predict the “over”); similarly, the “Goblins” have a green icon and lower a player’s projection, making it easier to win but reducing the payout multiplier.

Pick’em submissions can either be “Power Play” or “Flex Play,” which further impacts the multiplier for your payout. Power Play submissions require you to get all selections correct while Flex Plays allow you to miss a pick but still receive a return greater than your entry fee.

Because Flex Plays pay for imperfect entries, the multiplier for getting all picks correct on submission is less than for a Power Play.

PrizePicks Arena

Where Pick’em contests are effectively “Player vs. PrizePicks” in nature, the PrizePicks Arena pits players against each other. When submitting entries, players select 2-4 players and the over/under on their prop lines.

From there, PrizePicks will group entries based on user experience, lineup entry fee, the number of players included on the entry, and the time the entry was submitted.

Payouts are based on player success against one another, so you don’t necessarily need to get every pick correct to win; having the best score in your group is enough. If you do get a perfect entry, you’ll still receive a payout even if you aren’t the highest scorer: you’ll receive 10X your entry fee for picking four correct, 5X for three correct, and 3X for two correct, no questions asked.

There isn’t a multiplier like there is for Pick’em contests, but Demons and Goblins projections are still available and can impact your point total.

Scoring for the PrizePicks Arena is as follows:

  • Standard Projection – 1 point
  • Demon Projection – 1.05 points
  • Goblin Projection – 0.95 points
  • Discounted Projection – 0.95 points
  • DNP (Did Not Play) – 0.5 points
  • Tied Projection – 0.5 points
  • Reboot – 0 points
  • Incorrect pick – 0 points

Free-to-Play

The Free-to-Play game mode gives players a total of 1000 points to play with. Points are earned for correct picks and deducted for incorrect selections. To score a win, you must finish the day with more than the 1,000 points you started with.

You can choose to spend your points however you wish, putting a bunch of points into a small selection of props, spending smaller amounts over a broad range of props, or anything in between.

The top 500 qualifying players each week will receive a real-money prize deposited into their PrizePicks account. First place wins $500, second place gets $400, third place gets $300, and remaining finishers will get a prize that corresponds to their place in the standings.

Point totals do not accumulate, so you’ll get a fresh 1,000 points every day.

Banking Options and Payouts

Banking is relatively easy on PrizePicks, with a reasonable amount of deposit and withdrawal options. Players are limited to one withdrawal per 24-hour period.

If your net winnings on PrizePicks total more than $600 in a given year, you will need to include the winnings on your tax filings.

PrizePicks doesn’t charge you any fees to manage your money, though your financial institution or payment processor may have charges to use the service. Check with your provider first before depositing or withdrawing funds.

There is a $10 minimum for deposits and withdrawals. PrizePicks did not respond to our request for information on deposit and withdrawal maximums.

You are welcome to use any of the following methods to move money into or out of your PrizePicks account:

  • Apple Pay (deposit only)
  • Credit Cards (Visa, Discover, and Mastercard in select states, deposit only)

Customer Support and User Experience

Customer Support and User Experience at PrizePicks

PrizePicks’ customer support pages in the Help Center contain noticeably more detailed information than what we’ve seen on other DFS sites. Not only was there legitimately helpful info, but also the pages were well organized and easy to navigate.

You may also find success through emailing support@prizepicks.com. PrizePicks does not list a phone number to contact for assistance.

Within the app and on the web, you can readily access the support chat, which connects you with a service agent in less than a minute. We tested the chat with a few support questions, and while the answers came quickly, they weren’t entirely helpful.

In the Help Center, PrizePicks did not list a deposit or withdrawal maximum. After some back and forth to try to understand the limits, we were told “We do not display deposit limits to members. However your withdrawal limit is 1 per 24 hours.”

We aim to be as transparent as possible with these reviews, and our hope is that any other issue you may encounter would be resolved more smoothly. If we had encountered an issue with a transaction or a bonus, we’re confident in saying those issues could be capably fixed, though we were admittedly disappointed we could not get an answer.

Mobile App Experience

Mobile App Experience

The PrizePicks mobile app is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It is free to download, and in some states, you can play for free.

You’ll need to make sure your location services are enabled to use the app, even if you’re connected to a local wireless network. If you’re having issues, completely close and relaunch the app, as this will typically resolve the issue.

PrizePicks’ app opens in dark mode, with purple accents punctuating the black background. It took about 15 seconds for the app to load player selections, but once they were loaded, moving through the app was fluid.

At the bottom of the screen, the “Promotions” tab will update to reflect any bonuses for which you may be eligible. You’ll want to check this one often to make the most of your PrizePicks experience.

Customer support is readily accessible too. Simply tap the “Help” icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to access the help center, review game rules, check the scoring chart, and refresh the pick board.

Responsible Gaming Features

As part of the process of obtaining an operating license, PrizePicks had to ensure there were responsible gaming features in place so anyone of legal age could participate in a safe manner. These features include setting limits on your account, enacting a “timeout” period, and running a self-exclusion program.

Limits on your account include deposit limits and play limits, which can be broken up into daily, weekly, and monthly increments. If you use these, you will need to reset the limits every 90 days.

Timeouts keep you from being able to submit entries or make a deposit. When calling a timeout, choose a time period between 1-30 days.

If you need to make a longer-term self-exclusion period, you can do so in the “Self-Exclusion” section of the responsible gaming tools page. You can choose a time period of at least one year, up to a lifetime exclusion.

Once you’ve activated the self-exclusion period, you will not be able to make any changes to your status until the selected time period is up. This is an extreme step, but for some, a necessary one.

If you or someone you know are struggling with a gaming compulsion, help is always available.

Tips for Maximizing Your Winnings on PrizePicks

Winnings are never guaranteed, but there are a few strategies you can implement to help maximize your winnings on PrizePicks.

First, make sure you’re using the Bettor in Green PrizePicks cheat sheet. This tool helps consolidate a broad amount of player information into a straightforward list of player props, helping you cut down on the amount of time you need to spend researching trends.

Next, we recommend testing your strategies with lower-stakes entry amounts and fewer player selections. This will keep you from burning through your bankroll while you’re still acclimating to the platform.

Be sure to take advantage of Flex Play when you can. Doing so may lower the ceiling for how much you can win, but it will also raise the floor; small wins are still better than no wins.

Finally, use tools like projection models and lineup optimizers to help you figure out the most likely outcomes as well as your boom/bust percentages. Having a realistic sense of player outcomes will guide you to more consistent results.

Remember – success is a process, not a destination. Make adjustments, take breaks, and keep your emotions (both positive and negative) in check.

Customer Reviews

Based on the app store ratings, there is a stark difference in the PrizePicks user experience depending on which operating system you’re using. iOS users were largely positive, giving PrizePicks a 4.8/5 rating, one of the highest ratings of any DFS app. However, Android users rated PrizePicks a 2.9/5.

These ratings can be influenced by many factors. Some reviewers will rate the app lower not because they experienced any issues but because they were unhappy with losses.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, some apps will pay users (or even non-users) to write positive reviews. In the App Store, we found many reviews that were word-for-word identical in their analysis.

For that reason, we recommend taking these scores skeptically, with a typical user experience falling somewhere in the middle.

Here are a few of the user reviews we felt would be most beneficial to you that were unique in their analysis.

2/5 rating from April 2024:

“The app is cool when it’s actually working. For some reason it always gets stuck on “loading projections”. At first I could just click help and then click refresh board and then it would work. Now the bottom of my screen is just black for some reason and I can’t click anything. The only fix is to clear all app data and then re login. But even if I accidentally exit the app, I have to repeat the process because it gets stuck on loading projections again. I use a Xiaomi android. Please fix the app”

4/5 rating from December 2023:

“Since the new update, I have not been able to make any predictions. I continuously get the loading screen despite having my location on. With and without Wi-Fi, it continuously crashes for me. I have cleared out data and cache I am not able to access. When the app is running, it’s very simple with a very user-friendly interface and would recommend it.”

5/5 rating from November 2022:

“My experience with this app has been wonderful. Have nothing but great things to say about Prize Picks. Making plays with my friends has never been more fun. The support team is very helpful when I have any sort of hiccup. Nothing I love more than waking up to a fresh slate in the morning and trying to find the best plays. Easily my most used app on my phone.”

Bettor In Green’s Opinion On PrizePicks

Bettor In Green has some concerns about PrizePicks, particularly for Android users, but on the whole, it is a quality product that we think you’ll enjoy. Gameplay is straightforward and profitable, money management is relatively smooth, and the player selection options are virtually unmatched in the DFS industry.

If you are an Android user, you may find the web experience to be preferable to the app experience. PrizePicks will continue to improve on the app’s performance, but bug fixes and patches don’t have a set timetable for their availability.

Want to give PrizePicks a shot? Be sure to use the promo code at the top of this page when registering your account to maximize your available funds as you start playing.

Good luck, have fun, and please play responsibly!!

FAQ

How does the PrizePicks Reboot policy work?

The PrizePicks Reboot Policy works by keeping players from being out of luck if a player gets hurt during a game. Depending on the sport, if a player leaves the game due to an injury, PrizePicks will score that player’s line as a reboot rather than an outright loss, reverting your entry as though the player hadn’t participated. If you entered at least three players, your payout would revert down a tier (so a six-player entry with a reboot pays out as though it were a five-player) while a two-player entry would refund your entry fee.

What deposit and withdrawal options are available on PrizePicks?

When making a deposit or withdrawal on PrizePicks, players can choose to use Apple Pay, credit cards, debit cards, online banking, or PayPal to move their funds. Apple Pay and credit cards are deposit-only methods. Credit/debit cards must be Visa or Discover, though Mastercard is available in select states.

Is there a PrizePicks mobile app for both iOS and Android?

Yes, there is a PrizePicks mobile app for both iOS and Android. The app is free to download in the app store. However, Android users may prefer to use the web browser, as PrizePicks has shown to be more reliable on Apple devices.

How can I maximize my winnings on PrizePicks?

You can maximize your winnings on PrizePicks by using tools like the Bettor In Green cheat sheets to help you quickly generate accurate and favorable lineups. Also, you can use lineup optimizers and prediction models which will help you discern likely outcomes and set fair expectations for player performance.

Are there any seasonal or special promotions on PrizePicks?

PrizePicks runs many seasonal and special promotions on its platform for new and returning players alike. Bonuses like Taco Tuesday and Flex Friday occur every week while other bonuses will line up with holidays, the start of a sports season, All-Star Games, championships, and more.

What responsible gaming features does PrizePicks provide?

PrizePicks provides several responsible gaming features to help ensure player safety and gameplay fairness. Players can impose gameplay and deposit limits on their account, take a timeout period of 1-30 days, or voluntarily self-exclude, restricting access to PrizePicks for a period of at least one year and possibly as much as a lifetime exclusion.
